That’s illogical. You’re calling these two pompous, then revealing your own egoism with the ‘hell-bound’ line. I may seem biased here, but to post that comment, you have to be massively egoistic – to assume that your statement is more helpful in general, both to your own reputation and those around you, than harmful, to the people you are insulting – and bigoted, to assume that they are pompous because they do not believe in any deity, and to assume that YOU YOURSELF are correct and that they ARE doomed to whichever version of hell you believe in.

Thanks for posting. He makes some good points, but he clearly has more respect for religion than I do. Yes, it has made some points in the game in the past, but only because it was the only player. Everyone who spoke out against it was persecuted or killed. How many Giordano Brunos has the church silenced in 2000 years? We will never know. We have made progress in spite of religion, not because of it.

Too bad because I wanted to ask him who is more likely to be suffering from propaganda – an educated free thinking adult who has viewed the evidence for god and found it lacking – or someone born into a religion without any choice, who has been told what to believe and how to think since the age of 5, backed up with threats of punishment and eternal damnation.
