Thanks for your petty attempt to prove your point by repeating a claim and using ad-hominems to bully me into silence.

I saw this post in response to adhoc and another one of my posts, if it didn’t work then, why do you assume it will work now?

Thanks for this steaming nugget of regurgitated, pseudo-intellectual, Hitchens-Dawkins parroting, neck bearded blather you preening, faux-analytical, basement dwelling clown. This comment really opened my eyes. I mean, this is powerful stuff. After all, we are all atheists towards Thor, right? Some people are just enlightened enough to take it one step further. And we all know Darwin has already explained how the entire universe can function without any need for a creator. Except, well … the Kalaam Cosmological Argument, teleological argument, First Cause / Unmoved Mover, the impossibility of infinite causal regress, the necessity of at least one unconditioned reality, the Argument from Reason, Fine Tuning of Universal Constants, irreducible biological complexity, the argument from morality, Plantina’s modal ontological argument, the free will defense to the problem of evil. … Your entire world view lies shattered at your feet. If you truly honor the gods of reason and logic half as much as you claim, you would plant your face firmly into your hand, step away from the device, find a quiet place, and rethink your life!

No, just the ones who are homophobes, xenophobes and problems with a woman’s right to choose what happens to their bodies (just to name a few). If you do not hold these view then you’re not the type of christian AA has a problem with.

well said I have a friend who is atheist and she is not at all like the people here. I worship a superior being according to my own choices and she choose to not worship that way, that is her choice and we respect each other. As she puts it to those that complain. should we serve some cheese with your wine?

I know the judge. He is also hearing my custody case. Preached to me about how Satan whispers lies to me about my ex husband who bought alcohol for his 15 year old step daughter abs my two children were present while she was allowed to smoke and drink. He refused to listen to the fact that my son is autistic and was traumatized, denied his medicaid, and endangered. All documented and witnessed. I am a Christian, but needed to be heard and not preached to. Every custody hearing is not about one parent lying about the other. How small minded. Pi

I just had a judge by the name MIKE NEWELL preach me a sermon about how I should be a Christian and have Christian values. I am going through a divorce and just because I don’t believe the way he does he told me and my wife neither of us would get custody and his decision would be to give them to the state! They live with me and Im a good father love my kids my fellow man enjoy helping people mind my own business and am happy with the way I believe. To me religion is a cult. That’s my personal opinion. Monday November 17th I was in court and for 15 minuets of my life and time i won’t get back this judge preached me a Jesus raised lazerus, you should be in church, sermon! Can they do that? Worse he took my 12 year old son in his chambers and asked him questions and when he answered him truthfully the judge called him a liar and told him his father told him to lie and the judge intimidated him. My son was recording the whole event. I feel like the judge did this because my kids are home schooled and when asked about my personal beliefs I told him I do not in any way believe in religion support it and personally its a cult to me. What right does this judge have to preach in court and punish me for my beliefs? IF ANYONE CAN HELP PLEASE ADVISE!

KIND REGARDS

MARC

Quit attacking people and pushing your personal objectives on teenagers. I have many friends from countries all over the world of many faiths – I respect their rights and they respect mine. I usually ask what country they are from simply because I do not want to try to speak what little Spanish I know to someone who speaks Farsi, Hindy or another dialect.

Our country was founded on right to religious freedom – so keep believing your way and leave well meaning Christians alone. I have no idea what your agenda is — but it’s happening in prison ministries where people need hope. Are you happy with the way your are conducting yourselves? So many extremists have caused the world’s problems. Please get a grip and leave Wilkes County alone. I am not even from this area, but what does “attacking anyone accomplish.” Gridlock …. I truly hope you do not contact me via email again. I just signed on to say, while you have the right to your opinion – why are you, like so many other groups attacking well meaning people. We are a world of many colors, faiths and respectfully – get a grip!

I like the idea of a secular party. I have no wish to throw in my support to either of the two primary parties, (and certainly not the tea party).

Our system is broken. I’d rather be a force for radical change. Give the people a real choice, not a false one.

A moment of consideration returns:

The GOP will be the voice we hear when religion utters its last, dying gasp. The Libertarians will represent only wasted votes until the NRA gives up fully automatic, rocket launching deer rifles. The only possibility left, is the Democratic Party…essentially making all Atheists Democrats by default?

Slow down, David Silverman! Are you really advising us to jump on the same fucking broke down wagon that’s been running us over for so long…in exchange for some small consideration and a little attention????

I’d like to consider the bigger picture for a moment first, if you don’t mind, Mr.
President.

Atheism is growing at a phenomenal rate, and we will be in the majority in 20 years or less. With that in mind, I have a few questions:

What is our responsibility in utilizing the power that our numbers will provide?

Is it better to use our power to further what is, or use it to change what is?

Shouldn’t we consider the possibilities of making long overdue changes in our irrevocably broken system?

Might we have our own party, and our own candidate, instead of handing over control to the same political crooks (in the pocket of big business)…who’ve been systematically fucking us over for the last 50+ years?

Failure to think ahead now, may very well doom us to follow the model set by religion and poor leadership. Is that what we want?
