Santa is a fraud, predicated on a myth that’s perpetrated on children who, must eventually be disabused of the fraud; however, parents and certain segments of society cling ever so desperately to the myth. Followers of the myth misappropriated the Pagans Winter Solstice celebration to make the myth more palatable Pagans and elicit their participation in the fraud of Santa and thereby reinforce the myth.
