American Atheists Announces Musical and Comedy Line-Up for 50th Anniversary Convention

American Atheists is proud to announce its music and comedy lineup for the 50th Anniversary National Convention in Austin TX on March 28-31, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency.

American Atheists prides itself on producing large, informative, and fun conventions, but since this year is our 50th anniversary, attendees will have even more opportunities to dance and laugh.

The Friday Night Comedy Event will feature performances by Blair Scott and the hilarious Keith Lowell Jensen, and a musical performance by special guest Greydon Square.  Tickets cost $25 and are available in advance or at the door.

Our Saturday event, which will follow our traditional “costume dinner” (come as your favorite god, atheist, or whatever), will include Tombstone da Deadman, who recently performed at the Reason Rally in Washington DC, and a full concert by Quiet Company, an Austin-based rock band with edgy, “atheist friendly” songs.  This will be a FREE event for all attendees.

Activities after the concert will include a party with Black Nonbelievers, Inc. and our traditional Pub Crawl.

Other notable features of the American Atheists 50th Anniversary Celebration and Convention will include an atheist art show, video clips from the early days of American Atheists, and a fundraising auction of special items including art once owned by the O’Hair family.
