Hello students!
As Jaclyn Glenn revealed in her promo video for the American Atheists 2014 National Convention, a very generous donor has offered to pay the admission costs of 10 lucky students. The convention is April 17-20 in Salt Lake city; more details are here.

We have decided to choose which 10 students will receive free admission on the basis of a video contest. Here are the details:
“Students” are those who are actively in school. This includes part-time or full-time students, and is not limited to college: grad school, high school, etc are also accepted.
Video submissions should be a maximum of 1 minute. Scroll down for additional details.
Students should submit their videos to us for consideration by uploading their videos to YouTube and then emailing the links to us at [email protected].
All submissions become the property of American Atheists upon submission. (This is so that we can post the winning videos on our website and use the videos for promotional purposes after choosing the winners.)
Suggested topics include what atheism means to you, why it is important to fight for separation of religion and government, and why we should choose you as one of the contest winners. You may cover all three topics, or any other related topic as you see fit, as long as you do not exceed the 1 minute maximum time allowed.
The deadline for submissions is February 28, 2014.
Our donor has offered to cover the admission for 10 students, but unfortunately we are not able to provide travel costs or accommodations for the weekend of the convention, so winners will still have to arrange their own transportation and hotel space. However, we have set up a roomshare/rideshare Facebook group to make it easier for people to coordinate carpooling and splitting rooms. This group is open to anyone, not just students. You can access the group here.
We will choose our 10 favorites, notify the winners, and post the winning videos during the first week of March!
In addition to free admission to the convention, winners will receive a 1 year free membership each to American Atheists.
